Young Voices Namibia becomes campus society

The Young Voices group in Namibia has earned the right to hold events and run programmes on the campus of the Polytechnic of Namibia by registering as a society on campus. They have also participated in the university’s choir and other cultural activities to draw attention to their campaigns and show that people with disabilities can be equal participants in the arts.

Links forged with national organisations

Young Voices Namibia has made links with a national disability organisation: the National Federation of People with Disabilities of Namibia. They will also be working with Alexia Ncube, the country’s former MP for people with disabilities and a member of the National Assembly, who heads the national organisation of women with disabilities.
